I can't imagine things if you'd got a citation before she even left the garage...
I'd be on the front page of our local paper... that's for sure!! :fire: :fire:
Figured I'd better give an update... had my slant six racer buddy over after work last night... we fired her up (ran like sh!t this time!) and he was fiddling around with things... he motioned to shut it down and told me the bad news... turned out, I had
2 dropped cylinders.... :gripe: :gripe: I will NOW atest to CP's awesome knowledge of Mopar's... he's always saying don't put high performance plugs in old Mopars... this is why!!! As soon as one gets carboned on initial fire, it won't fire anymore... they are self-cleaning plugs, which means they have to fire hot, and fire EVERYTIME!! So, it was a trip over to Autozone for some new plugs (Champions - always use Champions!!) and wires... put those in, and hooked the timing light back up... we were about 9* advanced of where we needed to be and I couldn't retard the distributor anymore... so, we pulled things apart, I adjusted the bracket and we fired her back up... I roughly set the timing at idle and she's running pretty good.... I've mounted my tach and oil pressure gagues inside the car now, so I'm going to be hooking those back in today and doing some more tuning!!
More pics to come later today..... gotta clean up the wiring in the engine bay too...
