Well I just figured out nobody makes a 275/45/17 tire... :smilielol: I guess that's why everybody has 275/40/17's :pullinghair:

How can I get taller without getting wider ? or narrower for that fact ?

:rebel:Nitto NT450, 275/50/17.

These are 11.06" wide according to their web site...Will that still fit in an E Body wheel well ?

I was also looking at Nitto 255/50R/17's at 10.16" wide

Okay...So I think I've found the tires (after 2 hours on the computer)...Then I search YearOne's web site only to find out the 17 X 8 Magnum style rims are not available :banghead:

275 will fit

The Nitto 275/50R/17 on a 17 X 9 rim with a 5" back spacing will fit on a Challenger without modifications ?

Is that your final answer ?

Can I get that in writing before I order them ? :roflsmiley:

the tire will fit fit for sure , the 275 fit well & on a 17 " rim you will have less sidewall , the rim backspace would be my only worry

Comparing a 275/50R/17 to a F60X15 (which is the standard tire on a Hemicuda), they would be about 1 3/4" taller which shouldn't be a problem, and about 1 1/2" wider. Stock back spacing is 4 1/2" on a 15X7 rim so we're not talking huge differences here... :2cents:

Can someone please buy a set and let me know...

I used this to compare to the standard 255/60/15 that's common. Not much difference in width or height. I say go wider! :grinyes:

:2thumbs:  You can easily fit wider tires still. I'm planning 295/40/18, they are pretty close to 295/50/15 which is also common to use on e-body's. Trick is the rim backspacing, I bought the B-Body width Dana in anticipation for wider rubber.
