My fronts are 17s while my rears are 18s due to tire selection. 295/45/18s out back, wide and 28.5" tall to fill out the wells. Short tires and larger wheels don't go IMO [<~28" tall]

Need to consider wheel width along with backspacing together. Most online tire stores will show you the range of recommended wheel widths for a particular tire size.

And, do you experience any rubbing at all? (Tires, that is )

Those look to be MB Motoring "Old School" wheels.

I have a set of 15x8's with 4 1/2" backspacing on my 1971 R/T Challenger.

275/60-15 tires on the back.
245/60-15 tires on the front.

I'm very happy with mine.

Fit perfectly, no rubbing.

Killer Bee, I like the old school look like you, 15 X 8's, white letter tires, and you can still upgrade your brakes if you want to (Wildwood now makes 15" rotors). My old Challenger was Plum crazy too, wish I still had it. Never gonna sell my Cuda!

Thanks.

Being the old fart I am I like the 15" wheels.

Here's the car test fitted with it's "track shoes" on before installing the 440 Sixpack engine.

The rears are 15x8" with 4 1/2" back spacing with 28x12.50 ET Street tires.

I've been using that size wheel/tire combo on E bodies for over 33 years now.

I didn't change anything on the suspension, stock E body width rear end and the rear tires fit under the car with no rubbing.

I must be an old fart. I don't even like them on that whatever-it-s they're on.
