Door buzzer and dome light switch?
« on: November 03, 2013 - 06:14:11 PM »
My switch that's near the door hinge broke. Does anyone make a repop? It looks like a plunger type of a switch that make the dome light come on and the door buzzer come on? Thanks.

If it's 2 prong than you're all set, replacement are readily available. Some E Bodies use a three prong on the drivers side. You could cut and splice the wires to get a two prong to replace the three if that's the case.

Most likely, I know NAPA has the single prong ones, they should have two prong...

Have to look for a used one or NOS $$$$....They show up on EBay from time to time.

That's a hard one to get.
NOS ones go for 50-100 bucks if you find one.

The drivers door was the only one to have it in 71'.

I sold one to member here a few months back.

Weird. My Cuda was a 72, made in may of 1972. Can I convert it to two pole?

It is my understanding that each of those wires goes through switch to get ground. You don't want it back feeding through system by jumping wires together. I am going to try jumping two wires together with a diode.

If they both touch ground, no reason for a diode.
