I wasn't around in 73 but that pretty much sums up how things are right now.

I'm guessing quite a few Mopars went bye bye with the words "I do"  :roflsmiley:

I remember telling a long time girlfriend I was not getting married till I got another Challenger! That sure didn't go over well!.....Miss that girl sometimes?  :clueless: :smilielol:

In my 20's I was dating a girl for 8+ years that was really into Mopars, he two brothers were die-hard Mopar fans as well....we used to go to all the shows together...

We broke up and I ended up marrying someone who has no clue about cars....

Many years later now she's the best wife ever and that other girl and her brothers are not into Mopars whatsoever....Guess I made the right choice...
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

One of my biggest lapses of judgement came when my ex said "You love that car more than me" and I said "Well...not more, no."

My Challenger has always been "the other woman". Of course, its always had sexier lines, still does. Wifes gone, cars still with me.....and they lived happily ever after...the end.

Well I married in '72, I had just bought new 12 months previous a VG 4dr Pacer, it stayed with me for 13 years. Had plenty of MOPAR's through those years up until now. Marriage lasted 37 years, sad story but I still have my '70 Challenger and now a Little Red Express Truck to keep it company.   :burnout:

My wife loves my car and attributes our marriage to it. She knows that I love my challenger and it is as much a part of me as she is. My dad bribed me into the Air Force with the Challenger, her dad was impressed with me joining the Air Force and gave me permission to marry her. Now 8 years later she volunterily moved into a cramped house with her parents and siblings so that we could afford to have the challenger redone while I am in Korea. I wouldnt trade her or the Chally for anything.

I Have been with my girl for 7 years now?

She wanted to move into an apartement, I said not untill I owned a mopar.

Now we just bought a house so I could bring the Challenger to her own garage and I don't need to commute to a rented garage 15 miles away.

I was married for 10 years, owned the car for 20.  During the bitter divorce, she tried to come after me for everything except the Challenger.  I politely told her "a man left with nothing is a man with nothing to lose".  During all the court battles, she never mentioned the car once.
Yes I own a 1972 Dodge Challenger Convertible T/A S/E with a 440 Six Pak. Can it get any more wrong?

Very similar to my divorce:
Her: "The Subaru is mine because my father paid for it."
Me: Keep it.
Her: The Jeep is mine because I put the down payment on it.
Me: Keep it.
Her: The Javelin is mine because you bought it for my birthday.
Me: Keep it.
Her: The Challenger is mine because I bought tires for it.
Me: They'll never find your body.
