Alright, little feedback on myself. I have this fantasy that I'll find the holy grail of mopars sitting somewhere all for sale and for a reasonable price. IMHO, thanks to social media, televised car auctions, and other such businesses, people now think they have $100,000 cars that are really worth a fraction of that price. Poor chumps like me who want to restore a desirable car, just don't have the money to spend. I have 71 hemi cuda taste and a 77 camaro budget. Anyways, over the past couple years I have stumbled onto a few mopar finds and was fortunate to find one this week with a little research and luck.
This gentleman was good as gold, a pleasure to talk with and was kind enough to show me some of his cars. His father worked for Chrysler and he was told years ago by a GM at Chrysler to start stocking up on the old mopars since he felt they would be worth some big bucks down the road. With that said, here are a few of the cars he had sitting out.
72 Challenger (gold one pictured and is for sale for $5900)
70 V code cuda (pictured and that is the vin pictured $18,000). I have not decoded it, but he said it is a 440 six pack car factory shaker.
Everything uncovered is either for sale or parts cars: several satellites (green 66-69)
Those cars with tarps he said are not for sale. Those include and I am missing some, but will try and share what I can remember. I was like a kid in a candy shop.
3-4 70 cuda's some with dana's, 440 6 pack cars.
70 super bee 440 six pack with N96 and pistol grip 4 speed motor tranny matching
70 TA with fiberglass hood (in storage), original motor and six pack and tranny
69 charger RT/SE original motor 440
68 GTX vert
67 GTX 4 speed not pictured
69 coronet RT
69 coronet 440
68 or 69 coronet bee clone
another cuda on rotisserie
He had some other stuff, like a 3 wheeler, old Honda bike, pop machines etc. There was 6 cyl challenger that looked real solid.
The sad thing is when I lifted the tarps, the cars are on blocks but have sunk down and the frame rails and bottoms are sitting on the ground. Some of the high end stuff I could see daylight through the floors. Broke my heart man. Some of my most favorite cars from when I was kid and now are all sitting there rotting (70 Bee, 70 TA, 69 Charger) etc.
Hope you enjoy and if you have questions regarding the cuda or 72 challenger, feel free to IM me.
Thanks
Ben
I asked if he would come off any of them, but no luck.
Anyways, thought I'd share with the group.
