    I was looking through some of the pictures I took yesterday and I was wondering what this is on the floor board?  Stock/aftermarket piece for cruise control?  Anyone seen something like this before?

    You have got to be chitting me!  Who in the crap would build a car with a windshield washer foot pump?  Especially on a car that came with A/C and disk brakes?!?  I guess that I haven't even seen enough e-bodies to know wether or not an electric washer fluid pump was even an option.  So what does the  control look like for the electric unit (...for those of you who were lucky enough that the person sprang the extra $10 back in '71)???  Is it part of the controls on the left-hand side of the dash?  This is my cluster.

    It's weird, but beats when I have a broken pump - I just throw snow balls at the window and hope for a short drive  :tongue:
    And when it's summer, look for sprinklers

    Yeppers !

    A foot pump it is.  I have one on my 74 Challenger too.  Works pretty good when you're trying to steer, shift and pump all at the same time.   :banghead:

    for an electric setup,  it works off the wiper switch on the dash.  You push the switch in like a button to make thw water spray.

    I wish that person would have chosen to go Hemi!  But the "B" in the JH23G1B stands for 318 2BBL.  :ack:
    Right now it's got a 383 but I have no idea what kind of condition it is in.  I am expecting to find that it is blown up or not rebuildable.  But who knows.  It appears that the car hasn't been on the road since the early 90's and I suspect it was parked for one of two reasons: engine/trans/rear-end blew up or the driver was worried about falling through the rusted out floor!

    Actually "B" is where it was built...in this case Hamtramck.  The "G" is your 318.   :coffee:  You know, when you're done with it, it's going to be a beauty!!  :grinyes:
