Good choice staying psychadelic !     Nice hidden power antenna.  Did the previous owner mean this to be an show car on that travelling circuit { the IASCCA {?} maybe } ??

From what I was told the guy who was building this car was an SCCA mechanic or something like that?? Not sure, but from looks of it he was going to make this a show car. Lot of stuff was chromed and it's all in awesome condition. Got my rear back in yesterday. Detailed one brake setup tonight. Hopefully I'll make Carlisle. I'm not sure if the car was on California Connection or not. It was in NY State, is a NY car originally. I have the Original owners last registration card ( 1978 ) and that is the last time it was registered or on the road. Originally a 340/4 speed Tawny Gold car. Have the numbers motor, but going to put a screaming small block in it. I plan on driving the crap out of this thing and racing it now and then. Nothing crazy as far racing, hopefully I'll have a low 12 / high 11 second car. More pics to follow.

I like the paint job this reminds me of the 1of 1 of 1 of 13   71 GtX hemi 1/2 vynle top orange car that had the cool paint job and the 70 hemi cuda convertible thats still wearing its glory. They both made the magazine rounds a few years back.

Love the paint , my step father has a 65 vette in white with mighty mouse on the hood and rainbow stripes hood to tail and a shark nose, custom cars look cool lucky for you yours didnt hurt the value. just repaint ( That would be a huge shame ) and another hood and its stock again.     Sweet

One question though   is that the antena frenched in on the passanger side rear ?

Yeah, the antennae is frenched in . Only thing I didn't like about it. Body on this car is amazing top to bottom. Only bad thing they did was french that antennae in and cut part of the passenger side trunk extention to make the power antennae fit. Think I'm going to weld in a new section there and repaint the trunk and somehow make a stock antennae work through the frenched part.

Hemi71 and Rev thanks. Anyone have a website or photoshop deal I could see hwo different wheels look on this car? Thinking of going Keystone Classics or polished aluminum slots. Either would be period correct. Or could go with the good old Cragars. Would just like to see how the car would look with any of these on it.

Gotta be a website or something I can put some different wheels on this car. Got a lot of room in the back. Guy put an E body Dana in it and moved the spring perches in. Should be able to get some nice meats under there.

Sorry, I personally can't help you with the photoshop deal, but about two years ago I ran across a rim site that allowed you to do just that. You'd pic a car that most resembled yours and then you could "place" different rims to see the different looks. I know this may be useless info. since I don't remember the site, but maybe if you did a search under car rims or wheels, perhaps you can locate it, soory. And I still love the paint job !  8)
