Does any one know if the starter mounting stud threads to the upper or lower hole in the bell?

You know, stud at bottom, bolt at top, or vicey versa?

I'm sorry, it's been too long ago for my feeble mind to recall.    :banghead:

I just remember being surprised they weren't 2 bolts.

A real stud is always on the top with a fine thread nut/washer of course. Bolt on the bottom

Mine is two bolts. Someone must have broken the stud at some point in the past, I guess.
