G'day from Australia
« on: April 05, 2005 - 08:43:15 PM »
G'day Guys, I've just taken delivery of my new toy, a 1970 Barracuda, and thought I was going to need some advice from time to time as the project progresses so here I am.  Started out looking for Chargers and Challengers but found this nice and straight local import and thought it was a solid base for the new toy.  Car is a one owner, Nos matching 318, Limelight Barracuda with white interior. Pretty basic other wise with 904 and 7 1/4 rear but have an 8 3/4 to go in and rallye bonnet on the way.  Will be pretty basic resto initially as importing vehicle into Australia tends to eat into the funds quite a bit (especially if you buy off a local importer) so basically going to warm the 318, return it to original colour and add a few factory options to finish it off.  Its a bit removed from my original requirement for a manual big block but it should be fun nonetheless.  Cheers, Mark.

Excellent!! Welcome to the board Oz and congratulations on your new purchase!  That is an excellent start and the color combo will be gorgeous!!  The rally hood will add a lot to the look of the cuda....makes it look a bit meaner.

Stick around and post often (and if you have more of your latest purchase...you just feel free to post them!).  There are a lot of friendly folks around here who love to talk about anything, especially their mopars!

Welcome!
