We've already seen the pictures. Let me guess Red, white, & Blue. This car has been discussed before and you're not going to like what we tell you. Have you paid for it yet?

I've said all that I will say in the previous thread.  If you want more information (you really bought that car and you're okay with knowing the truth), PM me for my number and you can call me.

Well I know everyone's gonna tell me they didn't make one well I just bought one and I'll give you the fender tag info for some reason it won't let me load the pics but I would like to hear what everyone has to say or if anyone has any info thanks.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Ok here is a thought, if it is in fact the red white and blue one we have discussed before, eBay says car sold for 33k, so let's look at it this way, 33k isn't bad for a 70 chally restored with a 440+6 4spd even if it's not original, all that car needs is to be sprayed 1 color and it would be a pretty nice car for a lot less than it would cost to recreate.  But even with that taken into account, if it is that car, the buyer should be irate with seller for his false advertising and misleading info, on the other hand, do your due diligence and you won't fall for crap like this.

The original poster is most likely in a little shock now (as I would be).  I posted this a month ago.... "there is some guy that will end up with it and have to go through the process of learning what he really has and is going to be bummed out.  It really sucks for the guy who buys it."

I feel bad for the new owner, but like MoparMan82 said, it's still a cool car and not a bad price.  The possible rebody and fake fender tag is not the end of the world and the car could still be a blast to own.  I just hope the new owner does not let this ruin his opportunity to meet a bunch of new friends.  This is a great site with a lot of super nice helpful people, please stick around.

Also, this original post shows the fender tag layout with the VIN as 106079.  You might want to check that.  Your radiator support and cowl have 106709.  I'm guessing you just typed it wrong.

 :iagree: 1000%......
You can't build a nice clean 70 Challenger with a 440+6 for that price, so I would agree that the buyer got a fairly decent deal, however In my opinion there are nicer ones out there for $33K as well.

I personally don't hold any ill feelings towards the "seller" in this case. He can believe whatever makes him happy and he can represent his vehicle anyway he wants (as long as no laws such as VIN tampering have been broken). It's like selling snake oil....if you push it enough, eventually somebody will else believe as well.

In this case...If the new owner truely believes he bought the rarest 70 Challenger on the planet, so be it. I hold him 100% responsible for researching this car BEFORE purchase. If he didn't, then I hope the snake oil works for him !

Beleive it or not...........Some people don't give a rats azz about numbers and stuff, they just but a car because it looks cool....I would like to think that was the case here, but I guess if he's come on here boasting about it being rare....that theory is out the window... :2cents:
