    A million???  I contacted Tom Benson, big time BJ player, you know him Cody.

    He looked at the pix & he wants to buy it.  He says if he can get it for a cool million he can flip it & still make another mil. or so.   :cooldancing:  He mumbled something about a 4th of July option code & I lost him while he'd been calling from the coast.
    He claims to know someone that's always wanted one just like this, guy from Qatar.  Man they got a lot of money over there.    :wow:

    Try and find previuos owner history,start by asking the guy you bought it from if he has any names of previuos owner(s) as going thru the DMVs is tough these days with all the privacy laws. . If you can find any hopefully they have an old title, registration or repair bill with the vin on it. I`m betting the "experts" are correct but if you have the time and energy then persue it and you never know what you'll turn up as I`ve said the "experts" have been wrong before. My guess is it`s either fully or partially faked, if the vin is real it may be a mistake and G instead of a V but  :dunno:

    Schoena440 this is still a very interesting story and yet to be reviled mystery of how this car came to be. In any case it looks like a really nice car and if I understand the price was a very fair deal.
    What state are you in, I’m just curious where the car ended up?

    I've seen two leprechauns riding unicorns, but I still haven't seen the July 4th option code.

    I could see the vin being either a factory screwup, or the car actually being the only 440-6 JH car, but in my opinion the fender tags were stamped to match what was done to the car.
    I've actually thought of getting fake tags made for my Cuda when it's done that matches everything on the car with 'fake' somewhere on the tag so I can't accused of a crime.

    Ya I was thinking about getting a tag made up saying something funny. I get quite a few people who first thing they do is look at the vin and fender tags. I see those T/A fender tags on e-bay and thought about getting one just for giggles to give the #'s people something to freak out about. :lol:
    Maybe something like "Gotcha" at the end or something... :icon16:

    If the car was altered when he bought it then he could have bought stolen property, which again is negligence.

    I think when it comes to selling, you can be caught with your hand in the jar because you are misrepresenting something and gaining from it.

    I bit harsh to label someone negligent after buying something.  If anyone bought anything off Craigslist or Ebay, you might be owning something stolen.  These are common places that law abiding citizens buy things. Ipods, computers, etc all have serial numbers unless they were eliminated (which is obviously illegal). So buying a car with all the intentions of NOT buying something stolen is not Negligent.  You have to remember that Possessing Stolen property requires Knowledge of it being stolen.  If you end up owning something stolen and the victim owner can prove it, you end up giving it back and you lose your money. Ive been reading all these posts and so far no one can PROVE its stolen or even altered.  I can say for myself, that I would not buy the car since its not my style. 
    Im sure all of us would like someone to chime up to say its definitively real or not.  Not cool to slam the new owner who is trying to say he is a proud owner of a new acquisition.

    Once this guy goes to sell it, after seeing all this info here I'll bet someone will come knocking.

    It was well read.  Looks like they had evidence of "questionable nature" on that Papa' dude.  And it was not the first time the Papa' dude was involved in other fraud transactions.  I don't see anything like this with the new owner.
    As far as the buyer, why is he negligent?  Yes, he got duped, lesson learned.  Not everyone has the skill or knowledge to know what you know.  And for those that do not know and get duped, lesson learned with $$$$$$$ missing from the bank. 
    These criminals are looking for those with no knowledge, which is probably a bigger number then you think.
    I totally agree, if a seller tries to boast something that a car is not, and knows about it, well they are just another Papa' dude.  Just don't see it here.
