One of the salesman here at work owns a golf course.  He is going to put a couple big jars out to collect the tabs.

I collect and crush all cans that I use. It would be easier if I just paypaled the money to you. Link?

I don't know how many people on here are collecting tabs. I just wanted to remind anyone who is collecting them that I will be at Carlisle and The Nat's this year and can pick them up from you there.

I just got an email from Owen's school and they have collected over 80 gallons of pop tabs! I have 5 gallons here at home that have been given to me so far.

St Jude is having a "Day of Rememberance" in October for everyone who has been lost. Julie and I plan on attending. That will be the perfect time to turn in the tabs to Ronald McDonald House. Thanks

Darren

I am still collecting them but certainly won't have anywhere near a gallon . . . Let alone 5.  But I guess even a little will help!

Every little bit adds up.

I've really cut back on pop since the first of the year.  I probably put more soup tabs in then pop tabs.  I've got a bucket at a local bar.  Every couple weeks I go in there and the bucket is full.  That's where my 5 gallons have come from.  I can't believe the school collected 80 gallons.  That's insane!

Holy crapola!  That's a lot of tabs!

I've been saving them but we don't drink that many soda type drinks.  Blame the wife for that!  :P  Don't have that many.  :-\

The wife and I are back in Memphis. We just got done eating on Beale Street and listening to some music. Tomorrow we are turning in the pop tabs before going to St Jude. Our Sebring's trunk is completely full of 110 gallons of pop tabs! Thanks to everyone who collected!

I'm glad we were able to meet you as well.  You've been so supportive throughout everything.(everyone on this site has been)

We had a good weekend in Memphis.  It was a very difficult weekend but we both left feeling "lighter" then we felt before going.  We were there for a "Day of Remembrance."(it was actually two days)  The first day we were able to set up a bulletin board with a bunch of pictures of Owen.  Other families did the same.  I recognized 7 other families there that weekend.  That's 7 other children who I saw in the hospital getting treatment that also have passed away.(very hard to see and comprehend)  The St Jude staff came by and looked at all of the displays.  It was nice to reconnect with the people who took care of Owen and make sure they knew how much we appreciate everything they did.

The second day there was a "Parent Panel" discussion with 5 families who have also lost a child.  They told their stories and answered questions about how they have dealt with emotions, holidays, birthdays, just every day life exc...  I didn't realize how much I needed to talk to other people who were going through the same things...to know that the things I'm feeling are "normal".  We exchanged contact info with three families so I hope we can keep in touch over the years.  It's nice just to get a text from one of them wishing us a good week.

Anyway, I don't want to ramble on.  Thanks again to everyone who collected tabs, who sent Owen a gift or who let us know you were thinking of us.
