It's called the stereo crossover box. It takes the left and right channels to create a sound signal for the center dash speaker. It's mounted on the left side of the cardboard glove box. Google "mopar 2884863" to read more info on it. I know about these because I've fixed mine once already. Fading is for front and rear, this doesn't do that.
