Use engine stand to rebuild tranny
« on: April 06, 2005 - 02:45:27 AM »
Another use for the engine stand. This tranny was rebuilt several years ago, my first tranny rebuild, fixed a coupla problems and put it back together. (1st reverse band adjustment strut wasn't properly installed and according to a high performance article I left out the accumulator spring. It should have been the 1st/reverse servo spring. Tranny has all springs now. Don't want any more problems with it. I will be rebuilding a smallblock 727 and I hope to get pics all through the rebiuld to post.

Awesome idea!!!

I rebuilt my 904 in an auto trans class at my community college... just had a steel table to work on... but then again, we also had a state of the art trans dyno!! ;)
