1970 Cuda rehab

A few folks here know I bought a real "BS" Cuda recently and I was happy to find very little problem with the body when it arrived. As well I got this driver in good shape so I'm happy I can work on it while driving it!!! When it got here it was running rough but after replacing the plugs, wires, cap and rotor she really runs pretty good now.

So whats the story on the car?  We need more picts!

The Cuda came from Northern Colorado which was only 30 mins away from Cheyenne.

The only things I've done to the car so far is a small tune-up, some brake work and drove it like I stole it. The other great thing about this buy is the amount of parts I got with the car. Soon some of these items will be up for sale.

Here's a pic of it being picked up in Colorado. Did I mention Intercity is now the only line I will use to transport - they are the best.

With a bit of paint touch up and a brand new hockey stripe this should look as good as new soon.

Nice ride HP, I think you are right about everyone falling asleep on this one, it was only 2 hours from me, and I had no clue it was even there or for sale, 'Cuda hunter is in this neck of the woods too, I'm curious if he knew about it.  Anyway, sweet second cuda, enjoy.

Looks like a great car to start with!!  We should all be so lucky...  congrats on the purchase!

After I got ColoMopar to take a look at it I couldn't believe folks didn't bid this one up way further.

It actually DRIVES!!! and have very little body problems let alone rust. The paint isn't perfect but it's great for now and the great part about it is that I can drive it while I work on it. Soon I'll have the road lamps back on her and wired up. The fender turn signals I think I'll leave off for now as I like a clean look.

I will have a bunch of parts for sale soon as this car came with a boatload so keep your eye peeled. Just to spice things up for the holidays as part of this deal I got a 1969 440 six pack intake in pretty good condition and I'll give folks a shot here first before it goes on ebay.

Slowly but surely I've been making small changes here and there.

Recently I thought about changing out the carb after doing a plugs, wires, cap and rotor change. Also went though all the rubber hoses and found out why the brakes sucked so bad. After I replaced them (cracked) the brakes came alive again.

Anyway, back to our story I recently put a Holley 770 Avenger carb on the 440 and she came ALIVE!!! Like night and day.

Next up, putting a Torker II manifold that I recently had powder coated to mate up to the new Holley - should be good.

Well since I found the road lamp switch in the car and making an educated guess that it still worked. I put the road lamps back on the car and got the wiring setup from Dave at Roseville and hooked her up today.

The upside is that it's looks pretty good, maybe a little tweaking here or there but the downside is I can't get them to light up with the switch. So back to the drawing board - could be lamp grounds, relay, switch, wiring....
