Next up, carpet, new front seats and reupholster the rear seat.

Paint the rear panels and wanno I'm done!

 :2thumbs:

Cool and keep us posted.  :2thumbs:
I did my carpet last summer and it went great. Let me know if you have any questions.
And I'm hopefully getting started on reupholstering my front and rear seats this weekend. I have the materials so hopefully time will be on my side.
So I am very interested in seeing how you do. Pics during the process please.  :jumping:

And what panels are you repainting?

Wow Bryan, you said you had another Cuda but I didn't realize it was so AWESOME!! I hadn't seen this thread until today. My son and I are starting to look in to painting interior panels on his Dart Sport. What paint do you recommend? And do you have to clean them with something special or just soapy water?

I use the trifecta of painting interior panels:

1) Simple green to clean the panels and dry them off good
2) SEM 38353 Plastic and Leather Prep
3) SEM 15013 Color Coat in Landau Black

Pretty straightforward and they look really nice afterwards.

Thanks for the compliments!

Awesome Bryan.  :2thumbs:

One thing I want to share. I installed my carpet last summer and trimmed along the bottom of the door openings. I just installed my seat belts yesterday. Installing the seat belt retractors for the front seats was tough with the new thicker plush carpet. Once I got them installed, the carpet needed to be pushed down to get the bolt started for the retractors. Luckily I left just enough carpet so that it wasn't too short. Barely.
So my suggestion, don't trim the carpet too close along the bottom of the door opening until you install the seat belts.
Again, those seat belt retractors were a bear to get the bolts in flooring.

Keep us posted and show us pics.

Good idea Tom. I know doing my other carpet although not as thick = measure three times then cut. Once you go too short you are hosed.

I'll have some help with this one so I'll put up some pics on the progress - should be able to knock it out fairly easy.

With help from 4speedfish, I got the carpet in, seats in and all back together before the Mopar Alley show.

Here are some pics of the show including my buddys 340 Convertible Dart - came out really nice! I'll post up some pics of the interior later.

As promised some interior shots after redoing the carpet, rear seats, front seats, repainting the rear door panels, new package tray, etc.

Sorry for some of the pics as it was really bright out there!

Interior looks nice.  That steering wheel is cool.  Are the front seats from another year?

Thanks everyone!

Yep, they came with the car and I had to pull an audible to finish before the show.

Still looks pretty nice I must say.
