emergency brake light none existant....
« on: November 18, 2013 - 08:58:12 PM »
ok i have an emergency brake light switch that works fine from what i can see and it trips the relay or switch ( i dont know its 3 prong) on the far passenger side of the dash because i traced the wire from the e-brake. i have a power positive on it/the e brake wire and/ another wire. when i trip the switch it gives my test light a extremely faint glimmer. and there was no bulb in my dashboard nor a wire that went to it. how do i hook one up? do i need a new switch from this faint glimmer from the switch.? and if so wear (1973 cuda) 4 speed 340

Weird , the emerency brake light is powered at the dash & runs a wire out to the emergency brake pedal & the center of the proportioning valve so it can ground at either point . WHy it would hve anything to do with the passenger side of the dash has to be wrong unless it has something to do with seatbelt or other wiring , I do not have a wiring diagram handy ,sorry

It shouldn't be the seat belt wiring, all the belt wiring connects to the driver's side.
