Is every single thing painted that needs to be painted inside and out ? That is very important part of where to start :2thumbs:

If your car is not painted, wait to do the interior until it is:  No matter how well a car is masked off, if the interior is intact, over spray will get in

You have to have all the parts that belong inside painted in colour also, are you going Red interior ? Is your dash painted yet ?

I have all my red parts. I need to paint the interior headliner trim and the rear window trim still.

All the wiring must go in first buddy :2thumbs: make sure that all the side windows are fitted and the rubbers also.
Then i would fit the roof linning in place with the front and rear windscreen in next, this will hold the roof linning in place also.
I would then look at putting the dash in as a full assembly but leave the lower plastic trim bezels off the under dash section, this will allow room to put the steering column in later, but not yet. You can also leave off the glovebox lid and ashtray to let you look in behind the dash easier, just in case.
Post up pictures when you are doing this and we can go to the next stages buddy

Here's the order:

Firewall firsts....EVERYTHING on the firewall, insulation, heater box, pedals, vents, etc...Then the dash as a COMPLETE ASSEMBLY.

Then wiring, dome light is most important not to forget.

You can now do the headliner and all the associated metal trim and sunvisors, mirror etc...Mark those holes by inserting the screws FIRST before the headliner goes in.

If the K frame is in, the steering column can go in.

Auto shifter can go in, then the carpet, console, seat belts

Interior panels and seats.

I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

That's the order I do it.  I will add to make sure when you put the screws in for the parts that will be screwed through the headliner that you do not forget things like the seat belt and coat hooks.  Those can be hard to locate once the head liner is in.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

 :drunk: Great minds think alike....

The windshield and back glass can go in last. In fact, it's much easier to install the dash assembly without the windshield in. Side glass should go in first before the interior panels :icon16:

Perfect! Thanks again guys for the help.  Does the sail panel and package tray go on after the headliner?

YES, sail panels need to go on after the headliner but before the metal trim. Package tray can tuck under the metal trim, but needs to go on before the rear interior panels and rear seat of course.
