A true complete ground up restoration would cost at least $50K minimum...You would have to be into the car for under $20K to even come close to breaking even....
If you are    to you my friend, you certainly lucked out with your purchase. 

I'm guessing it's completely numbers matching and documented with it's original broadcast sheet and fender tag ! otherwise you wouldn't even break even...

He could do a restoration and come out okay, but if he wanted to make money he would make more by just flipping it now. 

Drive it and enjoy it for awhile.  Then if you want to sell it or restore it you can.

im in it way less than $20,000.00 and this car has no rust issues at all. And the engine trans and rearend are all nice so i think i can do a ground up restoration way less than $50,000.00 just my opinion.but i may be wrong ive seen rt cars like this go for 80 to 100 thousand done and mine is a rt/se thanks for all the opinions i greatly appreciate it.

yeah your right ive been offered $35,000.00 here locally and turned it down and a guy on moparts contacted me and said he could possibly offer $45,000.00 if the car was what i said it was but if you sell the car it will be gone forever and i think this is a once in a life time find. guys on moparts say there are only 3 of these cars left if thats true mine is the only one like it left because mine is stripe delet and the other 2 are not.

The accident damage is the only thing that would stop you from getting top dollar and that could add to the cost of the restoration.

WoW...Good for you, if you're into it for way less then $20K....You got a smokin deal for sure.

In order for it to sell in the $80K-$100K range, which I don't really feel it's possible in today's market, it would have to have a complete nut and bolt resto done by one of the better known shops around like Mike Mancinni's or Finer Details etc...
I don't see anybody doing an "at home" resto for way under $50K able to bring the car to the standard it would take to get the type of money you're talking about.

I've restored over 30 cars with 2/3's of them being E Bodies.... http://www.alangallantautomotiverestoration.com/PAST-RESTORATIONS.html  So I have a basic idea of what I'm talking about when I form what is MY OPINION, nothing more.

Percentage wise....If you could sell it today for 100%, 200% or even 300% profit...there is absolutely no way you would would even come close to those numbers after restoring the car.

Guys on Moparts say there is only three of these cars left

  Are they talking purple 4spd V code RT/SE's.....I'd really like to see where they get their info....

I don't know the history of the car so I don't know how Cody knows about accident damage if it's been fixed right ?

One quick look in the engine compartment photo and I see it's got the wrong passenger side  inner apron welded in place and the firewall still looks buckled behind and above the master cylinder

Hi, 71blackdemo.  Great car you've got there but don't believe everything you read on moparts, they've got their facts a bit confused.  I've got 2 original #'s matching V-code R/T SE's and both are A34 super track pack 4spd cars.  One is an original FC7, stripe delete car and the other is an FE5, stripe delete.  Based on the Chrysler Registry letter from G. Govier for my red R/T SE there were 65 JS29V0B's in his registry as of Aug 19, 2005, 17 of those had the A34 Axle Package option and 8 had FE5 paint.  Somewhere I have a similar letter for the purple R/T SE that shows the number of FC7, V-code R/T SE's in the registry but it seems I have temporarily misplaced that letter.

You seem to no alot about these cars so what do you think the car is worth in a good market thanks.

It really depends on a lot on additional information that I can't determine about the car from what's been posted in this thread.  For example, is there a fender tag and what options are on the car (A33 or A34), is there a broadcast sheet, what does the underside look like, does the odometer show original miles (how many), how much body damage was repaired or needs to be repaired?  For me there are just too many unknowns to say what it's worth.  Besides Alan and Cody are more in tune with market prices than I am, so I would trust their estimates.  I will say that if you got it for under $20k, then I think you got a really great deal.  If you don't need to sell it, then drive it for a while and have some fun with it.

You should have bought it because it sure is a nice car for what he was asking for it but i didn't give him what he was asking for it plus i paid him for it 2 hours after he put it on facebook.
