Yes this was done shortly after I bought my car in late 06......They finally get busted and the car was impounded for 1 year with a 30K fine......They had sustained speeds of 170 MPH most of the cops did not even try to maintain a chase....IN TRAFFIC!!! crazy!! The GT will keep getting better and better the faster you go dynamics wise... With a set of headers and a tune mine is putting out 724 HP (Dyno) A friend of mine who is a professional driver has had it up to 216  on a controlled runway at the airport.

I hit 175 mph on a 1998 kawasaki zx9r on the street.  It was unbelievably loud?  Redline 6th gear.  I drive big bore sport bike as my biggest speed fix.  It is pretty easy to hit 130s.  I can't remember how many times I have been over 150!  Daily rides to work usually see 100mph on back roads. 

As far a cars go, three times I have been 140mph in a 1988 porsche 928s4.  Felt just like 80mph, just the telephone poles were going by alot faster!  Super stable with no drama.  Just how it should be in a fast car. 

Its pretty easy to back a bike down from speed in a short distance.  Slowing down a 3500 lb cars is altogether different.  Driving a car fast seems riskier.

My goal for my cuda is 130's or better.

I'll never forget it.  As a young sailor stationed in Vallejo Ca. I was rolling north on Hwy 101 near Ukiah in my recently purchased AAR Cuda.  I was enjoying the beautiful sunshine and scenery when alongside me appears a fairly stock looking 69 Mustang with an apparent desire to race.  I had no idea what my car could do at that point since I had only had it a couple of weeks, but being young and stupid, I was more than willing to find out!  I was pretty sure the best that Mustang had was a 351 (based on appearance and the fact I had a 69 Mach I just prior to getting the AAR)  So from a rolling start of about 70mph, we proceeded to punch it.  I remember seeing a road sign as I put my foot down that read "Ukiah next four exits" the next thing I knew I was north of Ukiah doing 135mph, looking at the Mustang in the rear view pulling off onto the median with some sort of smoke coming from it.  A day I'll always remember !

Well depending on if my speedo was right.... took my Cuda up to 132 way back in 1988. Cop going the other way ... oh ****!
Kept it floored and when I got to the end of the road I managed to weave through several neighborhoods and avoid him.
Parked in someone's driveway (night bout 12 am) Waited about an hour then drove home and parked it in front of my best
Friends house up the street lol. Well I own the only Green 71 Cuda with black vynil top rear black louvers in Colorado back
then. So for the rest of the year I get tailed and pulled over 13 times........ no tickets ! Oh the memories

  130 MPH - 1967 Chrysler "300". Knees knocking and white knuckles. Only has 10' drum power brakes. On an unopened section of the Jefferson Freeway in Louisville, Ky. Took all 4 lanes and the median to slow back down to 55 MPH. Dang well made a memory for me and three friends that day. Capped it off with some good cold brews !!!!!!!!

I just returned from my motorcycle trip to Utah.  My friend let me ride his 2012 Kawasaki ZX14.  200rwhp, 9.8sec 1/4mi at 150mph with a 186mph electronically limited top speed.  On a straight flat deserted road in southern Wyoming, I rolled on it hard, and buried the speedo past the 180mph mark easily.  We did a little GPS confirmation and came up with 183mph!!   My new personal best.  The bike was very easy to ride, and very capable on a curvy road too.  We easily cruised the curvy roads of Utah at 90+ with blast up to the 160's mph with no drama.  I want one soooooo bad!!!!
