    My new speed record. 151.5 mph, verified with GPS in my '99 VR4. Note that I allmost had a "busted by the MAN" story to go along with this new record.  :eeksmall:

    Nah, not quite rice, the wing is stock for the last year of the VR4. It does make it kinda hard to "blend in" in traffic though, kinda like hanging a Pick Me sign out when going by Mr. Officer.  :laughing:

    That wing is stock for that model year? :eekbig: You can take out low flying airplains with that thing! :rice:

    Yup, all stock 41,000 miles 1 of 287 built for '99 and 1 of 36 with paint and options. It's no '71 hemi 'vert, but it's kinda rare and fun to drive.

    Speedometer burried in a 68 Hemi GTX 4 speed when I was 15 years old. 150 speedo so I guess about 140 plus a few if the speedo was accurate. This was way back in the early 80's. I will never forget that ride.

    I have always kept up with the new cars coming out and low production cars, some how I missed reading about your 99 VR4. What is the HP, performance numbers?

    They list 1/4 time @ 14.2, other tests clocked it @ 13.7
    320 hp twin turbo all wheel drive, it was more of a sportscar than a 1/4 miler, though some of them have dipped into the high 10's with modifications. Highest dyno pull 798hp.
    Mines all stock, I might play with it and get 450 out of it, but it's mostly just for weekend drives, no plans for racing. :grinno:

     :burnout:  186 mph in my fuel injected big block super pro dragster, Centerville Dragstrip, Centerville, AR 1991

    The fastest out of the four dragsters that I've owned. Hated the fuel injection system, too much hassle. Went back to carbs and stayed there.
