Hi how are ya!
« on: December 05, 2013 - 08:38:50 PM »
Kinda new here, posted afew times, love the board!!! From NORTHERN ny (Tug Hill region). NOT NYC, NOT EVEN CLOSE!!
We hunt, fish, drive trucks, and run old cool cars! I'm runnin a 1 owner 1970 Barracuda vert. Pops ordered it new in 1969, has a 318, 3speed manual shift. I added Edlebrock 650 cfm carb, and Edlebrock intake, Headman headers. In 1995 when I was a senior in highschool I pulled it out after sitting for almost 15 years. We did a backyard resto, motor rebuild, bored .40, heads decked (don't rember how much) new pistons, mild cam. pops turn it over to me. Its my dialy driver in the summer. Ain't worth a lot of money, bout the cost of a new Hunday, but it sure ain't for sale!!! Just wanted to say hi, and thank you for a geat website!!!!!!!!!

Traver Bechard.

Would love to meet up with the guy who runs a plum crazy 440 Challenger 4 speed that drives by my house once in a while. Saw the car at the Boonville Hotel one night. Also a Go Mango Challenger runnin round up here, never seen them at the cruise ins, or "Best of Boonville" car show. But both are nice old steel, like to chew their ears off, and talk Mopar e bodies!! Thanks again for the place to learn something about our passion!!!!

Hi Traver, welcome to CC.com. That's a cool story. I always love to hear about Mopars that were bought new and have remained in the family. Sounds like a cool car!

Welcome!  Sounds like a fun car. Even cooler that it was our dad's.  I have family in Herkimer and Little Falls, which I believe is south southeast of you.

Its the one in resto mod section bout rims, or 5speed tranny that you didn't like the hood louvers on. I'll have to look on old pc for pix.

that was at Tibbets point light house in Cape Vincent NY, I deleted the Olds Gutless that was parked next to us. Not for the the car, just the owner turned out to be and asshole. All my other pics are too large to attach :(
