I re did the gauges. Painted the needles. Replaced the woodgrain on the dash.  New dash pad. New wiring harness. Painted and restored the vin tag.

Looks awesome Doug, how does your dash pad to windshield flange look? reason I ask is mine on the driver side stuck up and would of interfered with the glass so I had to slice it open about 1-1/2" on the very bottom on the driver side and remove some material and then I glued it back up, you cant see it at all especially once the glass was installed. no big deal just thought I would throw it out there for you to check.

I will have to look at this, appreciate you telling me,,,,might save me some issues that I might not have realized. 
I assume your windshield would have " hit " the dash a bit  
I did have to shave mine here and there when I assembled it to the dash frame,,,,so I'm sure it's not going to be a perfect fit,,,,,
The MC is in,,,,,
All the pedals are in,,,,
Mounted the wiper motor and installed the vent screens,,,,
Coming together slowly.

 no worries, yeah the glass would have touched it even with the urethane and probably would have thrown the trim off a bit. car is looking great, I am going to have mine ready for spring and your moving along quite well yourself.

Where did you get the new dash from?
What did you as far as restoring the VIN tag?

I got my Dash Pad from Ultimate Rides ( got it last year when I went to Carlise ),,, I think it was around $700 ? I picked it up there,,,so i could look it over really well,,,has the steel frame on it,,,fit was pretty good,,,,i did have to do some minor trimming,,,,but overall very pleased....

I did the VIN tag my self,,,,i cleaned it up with some soap and water,,,,
the white pentastar and lettering looked good after cleaning,,,,,so I carefully masked that tiny area ( the lettering and pentastar ),,,,and sprayed the plate with some flat black ( i think ),,,,,and it turned out great,,,,
I do know they sell the pentastar and letter "decal" if you need it,,,but i tried to salvage mine,,,and it worked out ok,,,,

Just ordered my starter relay, relay shield, voltage reg, ballast res, and battery cables from Dave @ Roseville,,,,
will put the engine harness in soon,,,,

I painted the horns gloss black,,,found some pic's ,,, I think it is correct......

My VIN tag is bare metal (bleached from the elements I guess) so a decal might be the way to go. Any leads on that might help
