For those who don't know...

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

As I recall that's the original drivetrain? If so, hang onto it.

Looks like you're going well with your plan

Yup, original drivetrain, going to keep everything I remove just in case.

Things are moving along,,,just have to pull some minor trim parts and gas tank, fuel lines, etc.

Things to do.....

1 Need to order the Dana and leaf springs
2 new front torsion bars and new front suspension parts
3 swap in a manual steering box
4 big block mounts for K frame so I can get a big block in
5 send car out for body work and paint
6 redo grill and trim
7 other,,,,wiring harness, carpets, headliner, etc.

Boy do these pics bring back memories. I'm so glad I'm in the putting it back together mode instead of the taking it apart mode.

Yea...taking them apart is the fun part !

Interesting the gloss black paint on the interior side of the rear wheel well....Almost as if it was "blacked-out" because of the annoying gaps in the rear seat area :clueless:

I have a 69 Charger RT/SE 4 speed dana car, 496 Muscle Motors stroker, edebrock heads, solid cam, street car,,,I would like to put that back to stock some day
I also have a 65 Belvedere, STRIP car ( now for sale ), 451 motor, 13.5:1, best ET is a 10.04 @ 132MPH,,,getting out of racing.

Plan is to sell the 65,,,,,restore the 69 back to original,,,,and turn the 70 into a street brawler ( 500 stroker motor, Dana, etc )
Car will be going out for a full body and paint resto,,,,then I'll put it back together, and put a drivetrain in it.
