My 71 Ragtop Challenger Project
« on: April 07, 2005 - 09:44:54 AM »
He guys  - I am a newbie here and thought I'd post a couple of pics of my current project.  It's a '71 Ragtop Challenger "N" Code car getting a bunch of "upgrades" and moderniztions as well as NOS parts.  I'm dropping in a nice warmed over 440 w/ steel crank, ported 915 heads, TTI Ceramic Headers, 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust, polished stainless tips, 4 wheel disk brakes, A/C and SHAKER HOOD

Welcome aboard, 71ragtopchall!!!  That's a very sweet FC-7 convert. you have there!  I see it's the right color, too.  What's the interior color going to be? (please say it was originally white cause that'd look amazing.) :grinyes: :grinyes:

Street Challenged - The car is getting a white interior and top along with white R/T stripes.  I know they did not make any '71 R/T convertibles but I figured since I am building it My Way, what the heck - I'll build a factory Phantom  :driving:

As far as it being the right color, I figured since it came with no factory documentation - build sheets & fender tags were nowhere to be found  and as such I have no idea how it was delivered from the factory- I'd paint it my favorite Mopar color  and make it the way I wanted it  ;D

That's the way to do it!!  The way you want.  I think those kind of cars (no tag or build sheet), would be so much fun to do cause you can do whatever you want.  And, your doing it excellently!!
