Fuel Line Question!!

I am putting together a '72 Challenger that has a 340 with Edelbrock heads and aluminum intake and also has Edelbrock 9913 carb. The owner wants a stainless steel line from the pump to the carb. Surely someone has done this before. I cannot seem to find a line for this setup. Would the line for a Thermoquad work? If so would I need an adapter fitting that would replace the inlet on the carb?   :working:

You would need an inverted flair fitting on the carb to use Thermoquad OE style line.  I see Summit sells a brass fitting.

Well, I bought the edelbrock inverted flare fitting for the carb and then found the OEM Stainless line from Fuel Pump to carb. I received the line and it is nowhere near long enough to reach the inlet of the carb.

Has anyone ever put an edelbrock intake and carb on their small block?  If so, what did you do for the fuel line?

I think I will go to the local auto parts stores today to see if I can find a stainless line and bend it myself. I bet Stainless line is harder to bend than plain steel line.

What are your plans for a fuel filter? adding an in-line may gain the length needed. 
I "engineered" the rubber hoses out of mine with a filter similar to this marine unit.
