New Member looking for car

I'd be more concerned about 70k on the rebuild. I'd want to know what exactly constituted the rebuild, how it's been stored, how driven, etc. 70k miles is a lot.

This car has been in their family for 30 years (second owners)/  Fatherbuilt  the

entire car including the engine and 727 trans. All rubber is new, trim is excellent as is all chrome. Interior is all original and in very good condition. He said the carpet could be replaced to make it a showcar (quote). The engine bay is black and not body color. The engine is very clean with original air/heat, ps, pb.  He said he had to replace the truck pan and undercoated the underneath. Fuel and brake lines are original and in good condition. Not sure about the mileage but will certainly ask. He said car is always garage kept and never sat in the rain.
That is all I know at this time. IF there is anything else I should ask, please advise.
This car seems to be a better car than the first one I showed. The first one has some rubber issues around the rear vent window and I hate the headers. Also, a lot of the chrome trim is pitted and needs replacing.
This car has all new rubber, original cast iron headers with flowmaster exhaust but doesn't have vinyl top (which I want) \nd rally wheels (which I would change)

It may well be that the car is in excellent condition. But with technology of this time period, rebuilt 70k miles ago is essentially the same thing as "not recently rebuilt." Getting a 70s motor to go 100k miles was considered a feat. Newer technology, especially advances in machining, will let new cars hit 100k without trying, and my 93 Escort went over 300k without a rebuild.

I talked to the owner last night. The car owner is a Mopar guy who has owner several. He rebuilt the Cuda in 2009 for his wife. It has been her daily driver since then and thus the 70K miles.
I agree, that is a lot of miles. The other car I am looking at, I have no idea how many miles are on that car but my friend who checked it out said the motor was tight with no blow-by.

That's another one that looks worth checking into. The engine bay is black, but that doesn't bother me like it does others.

   Third car is certainly worth a look.  Downside is with 70K on the rebuild, I would want to leave room in the budget for an engine rebuild just in case.  Upside is a car that gets driven a lot probably will have fewer pesky bugs to work out than something that has sat around and not been driven much.

You all have been very helpful in giving opinions on cars I have inquired about so I would like to show one more.
Here's what I know about this car.
All rusty sheetmetal has been cut out and replaced by a body shop, floor and wheel houses are undercoated-everything else painted in satin black paint; "Everything" on the car has been either rebuilt or replaced; Everything works except original clock. Engine/Trans/rea (340/727/8 3/4) is fresh rebuilt. This is not a number matching car. Fresh paint-Mopar Flame red.
Please let me know your thoughts and thanks in advance.

What's the price on this 73 I'm guessing? There is no hood to cowl seal which makes me think other things might be left off but it looks like a good place to start.

The one thing I'll add to vinyl tops is that they trap moisture and create rust on the roof skin, etc. This would definitely have to be an indoor car and take care to not let moisture start under there.

Would you want to put what you think would be a fair price for it?
I know the vinyl tops are moisture catchers but I have always liked the look of them. I plan to drive this car damn near every day.......it's not raining , so I hope the vinyl top will not be an issue.

Its a lot easier to let us know what the sale price is.  Without seeing it in person, hard to give a price.

I am having the builder install Vintage air/hear/defrost and a full stereo system and the black vinyl top.
At this price I figure there will be some minor things to do and I am good with that. I am more interested in the fact all the rusty sheetmetal has been completely removed and replaced by someone who knows what they are doing. Plus the motor and tranny are a fresh rebuild and all others I have looked at either had a ton of miles or the seller did not know. Also, everything works on this car and this is the only one that has been able to boast that. The all new interior is nice also.
I am not a number matching person, I am more into driving and enjoying. I do plan to put a F.A.S.T. fuel injection system on the 340. Otherwise, it will be metal to the metal.

It looks like a fair deal at that price...You're not stealing it, that's for sure.
Future updates could include new wiring...the original stuff looks like a mess

I would add the "Cuda" trim as well to hide the fact it's a Barracuda....personal preference
