    Matte black doesn't pop as much on gloss black as it does on other colors.  It's tough to see, but it's there.



    Here is a contrasting color, to show the decal.

    Greg, in the middle of MA has:
    1970 Dodge Coronet 440 "Zom Bee"
    1972 Dodge Challenger convertible 440 5 speed.
    1973 Dodge Challenger 318 "Brown Bomber"
    2012 Dodge Challenger R/T Classic Blackberry Pearl.

    I saved a near mint flat hood for my car in the off chance steel scoops became available.  Not to hijack the thread, but please tell me more about them.

    The guy's name is Domingo, and he's in South America, I think in Peru. A near mint is right; I think the scoop is $1200. On the other hand, the workmanship is outstanding. I don't think I have a pic with me, but it is a 100% copy of the fiberglass scoop. Feel free to PM or e-mail me (rdwaryer at aol dot com) if you have other questions. I'll try to track down my pics.

     :eek2: :scared:  EEEK! That's about what I paid for all the replacement sheet metal for my car!  I know quality handmade craftsmanship costs money, but I thought foreign companies made stuff CHEAPER...

    Guess I have to bone up on my metal shaping skills.   :roflsmiley:

    You could buy several hoods for that, but if you really want a steel TA hood (and I did), your options are this, or make it yourself  :bigsmile:

    It can be attached any way one likes, I suppose. My plan is to open up the hood, create a recessed lip around the circumference for a lap joint, and then bond it and lead over the seam.
