70 challenger 440 six pack specific parts

Hi guys, what are some specific parts on a 70 challenger. Body & suspension wise. Also where is the shaker cable firewall hole located? Thanks

Here is a picture of the location of the shaker cable hole on the firewall.  There are two dimples on the fire wall in the notch below where the voltage regulator goes.  The cable goes through the dimple closer to the passenger side.



As for the 70 specific parts, I think there are quite a few, is there anywhere specific you are looking for?

Are you asking what type of structural parts are 1970 only or bolt on parts ?

Either list is endless, that's why it's so easy to pick out when a 1970 E Body has been rebodied using a 71+ shell.

Mainly just the parts that would be on a 70 440 six pack car and not a regular 70. I believe the torsion bars are bigger and the k member should've had a skid ?

Yes.  Skid plate to protect larger capacity oil pan. Torsion bars are larger.  Heavy duty suspension with disc brakes.  Engine internals were different.  Heavy duty cooling package.  Dana rear was a manditory option or standard with 4 speed.  8.75 3:23 sure grip standard with automatic.

The bodies are easy to tell.  There's subtle differences between a Hamtramck and LA built car too.  Why are you asking?  Do you have a 440 6 pack you need are wanting to verify?
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Hi, yes I've got a deal going on a 70 v code car. I went and looked at the car this week & cut a deal on it. I'll be picking the car up next week. It's missing quite a few parts & just wandering on what parts were specific to those cars. Hopefully I have most of the 6 pack suspension parts. Hp_cuda something bothering you?

Welded to the body should be rear leaf spring hanger reinforcement plates, torque boxes, etc...
Car sould have 3/8 fuel line.

Its been talked about forever here, "buyer beware."  If you like it, get it.  That is what matters.  If you want a completely correct car, you need an expert to look at it with you.  Enjoy the car.  Once you get it, send photos, with your questions.  It would have been helpful to send photos of what you are buying and ask the forum about whatever you want to know.  Good luck and enjoy your new possession.
