If you do decide to paint, make sure you use a black plastic paint for the job!

Clean it, paint it, move on.

I think it literally took me about 30 mins to do the pictures I already showed you.

Do you use the sand free prep or is that not necessary?

I would love to see a picture of that again.
I was thinking about your black plastic, and maybe a type of cornubia wax would bring the luster back in those faded looking parts after you did that nice clean job you did. :2thumbs:

I'll show you one once I've cleaned them all up, it's still in the shipping box! :D

I just used SEM Landau black on my Dart's lower dash pads today. Works just as good on vinyl as it does on plastic.

I'm with the painting, dying whatever you want to call it, it's really painting. When wiping on shine and protectant products over time you will get a build up if you don't go back and clean it all off and start afresh from time to time. Also the protectant products tend to grab alot of dust. I have had the best luck over alot years just getting a good clean surface and then put a light coat of quality paint on, and your done for a very long time.   :2cents:

I just got done painting all my interior moldings.  I used the SEM Landau Black and depending on what I was painting I used the either the Plastic prep or vinyl prep with the plastic adhesion  spray.  Very easy and all the parts look like new.  Here are some before and after pics.

"usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

I used Trim Black on the metal parts...Landau Black on the plastic pieces.  No special prep on the metal parts.  The plastic pieces got cleaned very well and used Adhesion Promoter per the instructions.

The above parts look really good.  One thing I would do though, is take some lacquer thinner and wipe off the paint on the sun visor clips.(don't know what you call them...the chrome pieces on each end that finish off the sewn sections) It would make them look more detailed.  :2cents:
