Perfect! Thanks :D

Didn't know this but the center caps need these self tapping screws in order to stay on? They don't stay on by the lugs?

Part Number: FD919020 Rallye wheel caps screws, set of 20.
Wheel cap screw sets-These self-tapping screw kits are for both Magnum and Rallye wheel caps. Use 5 per cap.

NO they do not stay on with the lug nuts...you MUST screw them on from behind. :2cents:

15x8 will work on the front too.

I have 15x8's all around on my 71 R/T Challenger.

All 4 are 15x8 with 4 1/2 backspacing.

245/60-15 tires on the front....
275/60-15 tires on the rear.....

No rubbing anywhere.

But your car is a mile up in the air. you have it jacked up all the way around to fit the big tires and the 8"rims. You can see daylight between the tires and fender. Beatiful car, but it sits too high.

That's the same ride height I'm after. I think it looks like the same height as a T/A no? :dunno:

Looks great!

Well there ya go. Start cranking those torsion bars and get some air shocks or stiffer springs and you too can get up there.
And no ... T/A and AAR's didn't stand that high.

I've seen many folk say that on 15x8's in the front they run a 245/60-15 tire and they all don't sit at that height.

Or do they?

I run 15x8 on the front of my Challenger and use the equivalent of a 255/50 tire and my ride height is so low the tire sidewall sits half way up inside the wheel opening.  It all depends on what you want to run and how you want it to sit.

Really?
You can see daylight between the tires and fenders? :clueless:

Here is a pic of the same car (without it's engine) with the same factory rear leaf springs with factory 14" wheels.
I think it looks terrible with those dinky little wheels/tires on it :puke:

Here is a picture of an original T/A Challenger on original 15" tires....lots of daylight on that jacked up car?

When I first put my new wheels/tires on the car I experimented with the car sitting both high and low in the front and took lots of pics.
I tested it with the front sitting very low(no rubbing anywhere) but I hated the look. :grinno:

My car is definitely not jacked up.
I don't have air shocks on it and the rear leafs are the originals.
The front torsion bars are adjusted very soft and the front is NOT stiff at all.

There is no right or wrong wheel/tire combo, whatever makes the owner happy is the best answer.

If someone is looking to put the biggest 15" wheel/tire on the front of a Challenger without jacking it up or rubbing the 15x8 with 4 1/2 backspacing and 245/60-15 tire is an excellent choice.

I like my car sitting lower with the body covering just the top of the tires but NOT on the ground like a ricer with half the tire covered up.:2cents:

Exactly what I was thinking/seeing KillerBee

IMO you got the perfect ride height and I don't see any difference in comparison to the height of a T/A.

Nice work!
