  I remember the first time I read one of Burpin's posts. I thought I had scrolled down to the next person & they were talking about him. After another post it was easy to figure out. I wouldn't worry about the Chebby forum & their put downs, they have other problems much worse.

Although any ethnic or blonde joke changed to a Chebby owner is always fun. Just ask my 2 friends with a Chevelle & an Impala.

Burpin just needs to keep doin what Burpin does best! Those Cheby guys are irritated that they think they are best and inside they really know they are not, that's what makes them so misserable, nasty, mean and act like the big Donkey thingy's that they really are!! I don't know one Donkey Thingy on this forum! Just keep it up Burpin, cause Plum6Pak doesn't care what others think, you are what you are and that's what we like about you!!  :grinyes:

Burpin,
Let me give you some counseling now. With a name like yours, and the fact that you talk in the third person, you HAVE to know you are putting your chin out there on any new board. Those guys are probably devoid of any funny bone. The heck with them. This just points out the obvious... don't buy a Chevelle.  :grinno: :grinno: :grinno:

Man Burpin . . . I want to post there on how cool your burnout is but I still don't think the link you posted there is working.  Maybe it's the * at the end of the link that is screwing it up??  If you fix it . . . I'll join their forum and post something about how flippin cool that cuda is! teehee    :grinyes:

I think it sucks that those chebby guys gave you a cold reception, burpin.  They sound like a bunch of jerks.   Who would want to be around them anyhow?  But that also brings up the question of why exactly were you perusing a Chevelle site???  :eeksmall: You stated that “burpin has a buddy” that got a Chevelle for the reason.  That sound like a likely story to me.

Now let me ask you , young man, are you sure that you want to go down that path in life.  Sure, you say, I will only ride in a chevelle on weekends or at parties or concerts.  It always starts off that way.  But before you know it you are sneaking in a quick ride before work.  And then you start driving the chevelle every day.  They say that chevelles are gateway cars you know.  And then one day your life will completely change.  You will be at a party and a “friend” will let you drive his camero.  It will be all down hill from there as you stumble further down that deadly spiral.  Then you will move on to other brand X vehicles- cameros, novas, an occasional 442 or GTO.  And where will it end, where will it end!  Next your appearance will change.  Your eyes will have a constant glazed over look.  You will unconsciously grow a scraggly goatee and a mullet.  You closet will become filled with tight stonewashed jeans and Winger concert tee shirts.   You will find yourself hanging out with a different group of friends who constantly, and brainlessly, babble on about the superiority of  12 bolt posi rear ends.  Your mailbox will become stuffed with summit catalogs and chevy power magazine subscriptions.  IS THAT HOW YOU WANT IT TO END!?!?!

The CC.com community cares about you and needs to do an intervention before it is too late.  As usual, the best cure for chevyitis is tough love.  Moderator April: Is it possible to place burpins current metro-sexual themed dog house inside a larger dog house?  Perhaps one decorated with chevy bowties?  A double dog house will keep master burpin on the straight and narrow path.

 :iagree:

That is about the funniest thing I've read in a long time!

I've owned a lot of non-mopars too....mostly Stangs and El Caminos. The Mopar people are the best, and the best Mopar people are on this site.

Burpin, unload the chevelles and stick to the mopars....once you own the best, any other cars will just be a disappointment anyway.

BTW Burpin, did you find the answer about disc brakes?

The answer to burpin's question is this...

Shovals, GEEETEEEOOOOs and 4444222s are GM A-bodies. They share many chassis and brake componants
between the years of 1964 to 1972.

That means that you may not find the discs off of the exact car but that '71 4 door skylark you saw
on the side of the road has many parts and pieces that you need. A-arms, spindles, sway bars and yes
disc brakes all interchange.

Of course, disc brakes are much more common on '72 Pontiac Lemans sports then on any '64 to '68
GM A-bodies.

To make the conversion, just take everything, spindles, master cylinder, lines, block and even the 10 or
12 bolt rearend with the rear suspension. It all fits.

That's why I always say those are all the same car. Different engines, same stink :ack:
