« on: April 07, 2005 - 11:20:07 PM »
Here is a fine example why the members at CC.com are the best in the world. Burpin has a buddy that just got a 66 chevelle and Burpin joined a forum to ask questions about it. And here is the responce burpin got.

 66 Chevelle help

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Burpin just bought his first chevelle, 2 of them actually. It needs a full restoration. Burpins question is this, it has drum brakes all the way around. What car can Burpin get disk brakes from to put on the chevelle. Also the brake booster. Thanks for your help. Here is a link of burpins Cuda. Hope the Chevelle can hold its own.

As cute as Burpin may think it is... he should start speaking like a Normal person asking for help ....that is if he wants to be taken serious.

You know i've said it before, and not to kiss butt, but this is the best forum EVER.
I belong to another for my Jeeps, and while there is some useful info if you dig, the people are no where near as nice, respectful or fun ( plus they have no Chryco ).

Yeah, real cool welcome dudes - makes me want to go out and buy a Chevelle. Tools
Why is it some people think you can't be cool unless you are putting someone down??
I'd post it for sale on their site and lace it with a poison - jerks.

Its really sad that some take so much in life so very very seriously. While these cars ( and most things automotive) occupy my leisure time fully and I love them more than most things in my life, they are after all just cars. These boards are hobbiest in nature and the primary reason to hang on them is to meet others that have the same common bonds and likes. There may very well be several Rhodes scholars here or rocket scientists ( which is way overrated for actual complexity compared to the impossible esteem it is held in) but any pretense is checked at the door upon arrival.

A 1966 Chevelle (SS 396) is a very sweet ride. however arrogance or elitist attitudex would take the message board fun right out of it.

Carry on in your normal mode Burpin' - you're a class act.

Hmm, that's kind of funny.  The guy pointed you in the right direction as it seems, but I think it's funny how he said he could give you the help.  If he took the time to make the post and everything why no just help you out?  It probably wouldn't take that much longer than the post he made, anyway!

Man people can be such A$$ bags sometimes.   :spank: You never see those types of responses here.

Burpin you just keep on being Burpin.

Hope you find the answers you need.

On a side note my best friend has a 66 Chevelle pro street which is absolutely STUNNING! 540 cubic inch 740 HP plus 250 nitrous shot. Runs in the 9s on the strip and is completely street legal and runs on pump gas.

Dont know why the link is not working. Did you try saving as target. Please do, since it is downloaded on my computer it may just load it cause I can get the link to work before I post it on the net.

That's just ridiculous.   That's the very reason why I don't visit any other boards!  I don't understand why people feel the need to force everyone to be just like them instead of treating people the way they wish to be treated.  Selfish, arrogant, fun-sucking bunch of people!   :stomp:   Let me at 'em! :boxer:  :spank:

I'm sorry Burpin!
