Yes I own a 1972 Dodge Challenger Convertible T/A S/E with a 440 Six Pak. Can it get any more wrong?

Minus the smaller pinstripes on the bottom that is what was on my car when I bought it in 1983, except the hockey sticks were solid black instead of having the call-outs. Bought it from the original owner. He claims he bought it that way new.  I do know it had the original paint  :dunno:

As I've said before, I think you could get about anything you wanted back then. I'd bet that if the stripes your describing are original that they were a dealer added item.

That is a very interesting pic there JC. Looks to be vintage 70's. Where in cyberspace did you manage to harvest that pic from? Do tell...
Cheers!

:iagree: That's exactly what I was thinking.  Anyone could have custom stripes made but for such a distinctive pattern I'm thinking it was a dealer trying to set his cars apart.  Kinda like the Bengal Chargers, or Mr. Norm.

I found it on Facebook of all places.  Someone posted it in one of the many Mopar groups I joined.  I immediately thought of Rattlesnakes thread and posted it here.  I'll see if I can get more info.
