NewB from Iceland
« on: December 20, 2013 - 06:12:50 AM »
Just wanted to introduce myself, my name is Atli M. Andersen and i am from Iceland and i just bought my first Mopar
8 days ago and me and my dad picked it up 6 days ago when everything was covered in snow.
The car has a 340 Sixpack (not original ) and the motor is 100% but the flex-plate on the converter is broken, the paint needs a bit of a touch up.

Here are some pics from the actual pickup

There are actually a lot of Mopars here in Iceland, for example there is a #matching ´70 Challenger 440 sixpack 4spd Pistol-grip Dana 60, being restored at the moment here in Iceland, and there are many more beautiful fully restored Mopars here.

There is even a Mopar Club here as well which my dad was one of the founders 30 years ago.
He has a 72 Road Runner Hemi Orange 440... restored in 2006.
My car was painted back in ´84-´85 and the car has been driven maybe 6 months since ´86.... last time was 2010

Howdy and Welcome!

  I love those stripes!

What was the car originally?

The car was originally blue with 318 and a 904 trans, then is was painted maroon/brown (very ugly color)
now it´s equipped with 727 and 340 sixpack  and painted to mimic this car here

That paint job is sweet!

Are you planning on changing the paint scheme?
Hopefully not!

I love the 70-80's paint jobs.  Quite rare to find one in good condition like yours.

I don´t know what i am going to do about the paint scheme... i´m on the fence about it,
my dream is to lower the car a little bit, all new suspension and willow´s or Bear Brakes.... new 392 6.4L engine and paint it B5 blue

Cool car, love the "old skool" paint scheme. Welcome to the site, a lot of knowledge on here. By the way, from the pics now we all know why it's called "Iceland"! Burrrr
