Looking for a TA may consider an AAR

Hello Im  looking for a 70 Challenger TA Project. I may consider an AAR cuda. I'm willing to pay top dollar for a matching numbers car that needs a restoration. Please IM me or feel free to call my cell. 206 -six 97-051six. I recently completed my 73 340 4 speed Cuda and need another restoration.

There's a nice red AAR 4spd on Moparts for sale....Good thing you're willing to pay top dollar 'cause he's asking top dollar... $40K for a project :smilielol:

Thanks I saw that one too, a nice project car but yes over priced.  In fact its owner is a friend of a guy that I spoke with last week, Tom (another mopar addict) he has an FM3 TA 4 speed with 58000 miles.  $$$$$ Your right it seems my top dollar and their top dollar is always a concern. Everyone thinks their cars are worth more than they really are?. My 73 Cuda is worth 45K   :bigsmile:

So how are the top prices on T/A or AAR projects right now?  Does this seem about right:

Rusted bad projects / non numbers = 10K to 13K
Rusted bad projects / with numbers = 14K to 16K
Really clean Projects / non numbers = 17K to 19K
Really clean Projects / with numbers = 20K to 25K

Drivers, but need restored / non numbers = $30K to 35K
Drivers, but need restored / with numbers = $35K to 45K
Restored or clean originals / non numbers = $45K to $55K
Restored or clean originals / with numbers = $55K to $65K

OEM Restored or Super clean originals = $65K to $85K

Add about 10% for a four speed and about 5% for high impact colors or desirable options?



What's some thoughts on those price ranges?  Do they seem about average for the prices right now?  Has anyone bought or know anyone who bought a T/A or AAR lately? 
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

I know of a couple of basket cases that went under $10K.

I paid just under $20K for mine, "fairly solid compared to my other projects" numbers matching, tags, no sheet, FC7/white.

5% for high impact seems a little low. Using that formula, a FM3 car is only 5% more than a DY3 car? I would think the FM3 would be around 20% more, wouldn't you think? Also, your pricing scale doesn't take into affect documentation on the car. I paid $26k for a FC7 T/A with full numbers, full documentation, rusted project car. Some may say too much, but the car was 98% complete with original parts, so the value was there for me.

Yea, that's a good point about colours, however I think it would be certain colours....For instance FM3 would bring way more then EV2 when they are both "high impact" colours, and TX9 would be way up there with FM3 and it's not a high impact colour.

My AAR has most of the original parts too like complete engine and air cleaner, rad, hood, spoiler etc...It was missing the original louvers though... :crying:

I recently looked at a TA optioned for louvres they were missing as well. It was an all original car other than that.

Nice reproduction louvers are available.
I plan on running them on mine until I find a reasonable priced original set, unless of course, the car sells first. :money:
