I have used both the Tilton & McLeod hyd systems , both work well & mount to the front of the trans so there is zero linkage , hyd clutches do work well

how is it to install as far as the mcleod system on the fire wall and clutch pedel? Whats involved in mounting and inatalling?

I did it the retard way , custom built the pedal & mount & used a master cyl from a wrecker , i saved a bunch of $$ but ...... Have I mentioned I have been broke virtually all of my life  :banghead:
 It works but I would do it differently .

I hear you Neil about the $$$$. For others, I am looking at a similar conversion but will have to remove my gearbox (5th time now-1st for my Passon) as I will use the Hydramax conversion. Nice feature they have is the master cylinder swivels with the pedal travel. That is a nice design that will take the stress off where the rod enters the MC. Unfortunately the cost is $619 for the kit but I am 100% sick of trying to get the mechanical system right.

what do you guys think of the mcleod kit for $480 for the a833? HAS ANYONE EVER INSTALLED IT IN AN EBODY WITH EASE? OR GOOD RESULTS?

whats the extent of customizing to fit in a ebody? (drilling new holes or welding for example)

Nothing if you use the right parts , the master can mount up to the pushrod hole & use the factory pedal , the braided lines run from the master cyl into the belhousing right onto the slave cyl , Just do not use the Keisler Master as it has no bleeder & you leg will fall off trying to bleed it out , there is another master that works far better & has a bleeder that bolts up the same way .

sounds like the mcleod kit is the way to go then for plug and play
