Thanks!  Actually don't mind working/welding under the car so much, with the hoist. No way I would/could do it on my back on jack stands - yuck!

Having it on the hoist and using its weight to force the connectors into position was key, would have been tricky if on a rotisserie I think.  But generally speaking yes, rotisserie would have been handy for this work. :-)

Nice work.

When I did the floor hump conversion on my car, I kept the floor pan at the transmission cross member covered.  I figureed it would help keep crap out of it.

thanks!  I'm looking forward to laying down finish coat on the chassis, that time can't come fast enough!  But back to reality, another few months of metal and body work.....

a little more work done today.  finished patching the passenger side floor pan.  just need to step drill out the drain hole, and button up the underside so all looks good.

   just heard from amercian powertrain, won't ship to me until March 21st.  That's 8 weeks from time of order, was told 4 weeks.

Hi guys, update on progress ... still waiting on my transmission, but did receive a bunch of other goodies - it was like Christmas on Saturday for me!  So over the weekend I unboxed and installed my US CarTool inner fender braces.   They are sweet, can definitely see how much support they add to the structure of the car.  With those installed and the US CarTool frame connectors, car should be plenty stiff to handle what the 440 and TKO will throw at it.

Nice work.  What made you decide to add the reinforcement plates to the cowl where the connectors attach?  I saw in the prior pictures some minor cowl pinhole damage; was that the reason?  I have not seen anyone do this before.

Hi Larry, I did have a few pinholes in the cowl that came out when the body was sandblasted.  I used those plates to help create more strength in the area, not fussing too much about cosmetics because it's hidden.

Unfortunately not Alan, was "supposed to ship today".  Planned on calling them tomorrow if I don't get a shipping email today.  Jay, the salesman hasn't responded to my email last week re how it late is is.
