I read about another issue with that shifter rail hitting the yoke when shifting gears. Something to check.... :-

Thanks Brad.  I wanted the underneath to look clean, a lot of elbow grease in body work underneath the car.  Like making it look like the rear rail sections haven't been replaced.  Cheers

What ?......I thought the TKO600 was a direct bolt in kit ? 

I finished the car I was doing, but the owner had to tear out the interior and modify his freshly painted floor much like yours. He took the heat because it was his decision to not wait for the tranny to do a mock-up and went ahead and painted the car first.  It's all done now and works great. 
I'm starting another resto-mod right now with the same TKO600...it should go a lot easier the second time.

:-) yeah definitely not a direct bolt in.... But no surprise.  Can't wait to try it, next summer.

Looks great!  How do you find working off the four post lift?  I am thinking of using a lift instead of a rotisserie when I do mine.  Overhead welding is not an issue for me and I think the lift will be way more useful both short and long term.  It would be great to hear your thoughts.

Hey Paul, thanks for the feedback.  I love my lift!  Have been using it for the whole restoration so far and I think it is the most versatile.  Key is making sure you get the integrated jack.  I shopped around and bendpak is the best I think, a little more money but worth it.  I also don't mind welding overhead, actually went well.  What are you restoring?
