Hi guys.  I made my k frame dolly tonight, should work great.  Once my tremec arrives I can finish the back section of the dolly where the tranny mount will sit.


You may be wondering why the k frame sits so high...well, I when I lower the cuda on to the motor and tranny on the dolly, I'll be using my 4 post lift and I needed to make sure it was high enough to reach the frame rail bolt holes for the k frame.

Quick take that stand and put another tee at the tranny end to hold up the transmission!

You could even pad it to boot!

I will!  Just have to wait for my tranny to come in so I get the height right.

I know you set the height that way because you have a lift. Anyway, that dolly is looking really nice!

I wish I had one when I was at that stage.

Well guys, more parts are finally rolling in...  Got my tires and rims, yeehaw!  Check em out below.  275/60/15 on rear and 235/60/15 on the front, 15x7 rims for the front, 15x8 for the back.  Rears fit and look great, wanted to get them on checked for clearance before getting too far.  Call me cautious.

But the bigger news is I finally got my tranny!!  Waited for over 12 weeks for this thing.  In the end, American powertrain did the right thing and upgraded my back ordered bell housing to and in stock quick time housing - wow, is it sweet...  Check it out ...



Got it all mated up to my 440 block, ready for mock install...



And I was able to finish my k frame dolly and get it all resting on there nicely...

And went a step further tonight and got the motor and tranny installed...

Here is the dolly in action, wow - this is the way to do it folks!!!  All installed in 30 minutes by myself!



I can start to see where I'm going to have the clearance issues they warn about ...  Two photos showing the two areas that hit:

Next up - mock up tunnel hump for shifter and carve out the tunnel where there are clearance issues ...
