I have not but why not get yours rebuilt? Several places do them.

Is there a big price savings

I just looked. A reman 3 spd. from Rock Auto is about $80.  I didn't see any new ones. A re-manufactured from Kim is $235.
I'm sure Kim's is a much nicer unit and has a lifetime warranty. But for a daily driver I'm not sure which way would be better.
I think I'll have Kim do mine. Haven't heard of any other concourse grade shops doing them. And Kim has a great reputation.
If I cant fix it, it's broke

For a driver I'm sure a reman would be fine. However, the wiper motor is one of the first things you see when you open the hood.  I hate seeing an old dirty motor or one that has just been sprayed black.(talking about 3 speed motors)  A correctly restored wiper motor will really make the engine compartment stand out.

Jules restored the motor in my Challenger.  Since he just passed away, Kim will be getting the motor for my Dart.  I'm going to have her replate the barrel in black zinc for a custom look instead of the correct zinc dichromate.(gold)

DAYUM I had planned to run a few cylinders in black with this plating run.  Several shops that do Pro Touring and custom cars have me paint them and it's so much easier to just pull a black plated cylinder than do all the prep to paint one and wait for it to dry enough for me to build without mucking up the paint....and I know it'll last damned near forever which I'm pretty sure paint wont

the problem i have, the one on the car is off a 73 model, and no one in Australia restores them,
shipping it to USA then back to AUS would be way to much money, how much do you restore them for Passion
Mopar or no car
