Headlights/fog lights most people go HID not LED.

If you want to go HID, this thread covers how to do it on a B-body, an E should be the same:

:iagree:
LED lights don't seem to have the distance ability.
Although there are a lot of HID projector assy's out there that incorporate LED features in them- but not the headlight.

For hids you can pickup hella housings from summit racing and then pickup a h4 hid kit.  Make sure you run a  relay in between your factory harness and the ballasts - It's real easy to do

Got any links on the housings and H4 HID kits?

From what I've read, most kits are "illegal" and keep getting recalled shut down by the powers that be.  A lot of them use HID bulbs in Halogen housings which is a no-no.

The FBBO link I posted covers all the parts you'd need to make your own conversion kit (relays, ballasts, HID bulbs, HID housings, wire, diodes, etc).

Good article covering HID conversion kits used in halogen lamp housings here and their legality and problems.

They're great for the person behind the wheel, but nasty to dangerous to those unfortunate enough to be driving towards a car so equipped.  Have you been blinded by glaring bright white to blu-ish headlights coming towards you at night, but when the car passes by its some crappy old honda or chevy?  Fair odds they're running 'HID conversion' bulbs.

One of the Mopar mags recently ran an article on using the LED strip/tape lights to make the tail-lights look like the race-track tail lights on current Chargers.  I can't find it right now but it was recent.  The LED tape is available on Ebay or Amazon.  Probably also technically illegal but also not like the HID kits that are dangerous to oncoming drivers.

Pretty sure a HID lamp is supposed to be in a projector housing to control the light output to be legit. :2cents:

I agree 100% but that would require some custom work to fit in a Cuda/challenger. Surprisingly enough my 70 Cuda doesn't project high enough to blind other drivers. Maybe a little glare to on coming cars but lighting is night and day.

If the challenger uses 5 3/4 diameter lights just buy those. For my 70 Cuda I needed 7in diameter and used these
