Wow!  there are some cool cars in that yard.
And the guy even labeled everyone.

Would love to go there.

Yeah, wrecking yard adventuring was great "back in the day". Never knew what you would find, but you knew that you would find something good - the yards were rich with '64-'74 Mopars.

I especially liked the big "Pick-a-Part" or "Pick-n-Pull" yards they had in California in the '80's cause everything was "flat rate". They didn't care what it came off of - all hoods $20, all doors $25, etc. Unlike some smaller yards where the savy owner knew what he had and adjusted the rates accordingly.

One time I was in a Pick-a-Part (think it was near Long Beach CA?) pulling some engine parts off of a big block Satellite when I heard the roaring of the big forklift coming down my lane. As I looked up to make sure I was out of its way I couldn't believe what I saw on the forklift - a '70 Chally A66 convertible that had been smashed in the left front. As soon as the forklift put that car down on the ground I pounced on it and claimed it as mine! Grabbed the whole top, pump and actuators, dash, interior and a lot of other parts off of that car. I didn't stop stripping that car until I was out of money and with their great flat rate pricing I got a lot of parts before the money ran out!
Cheers!

It's tough here in Canada to find nice junkyards. There is no money left in keeping old cars on the lots and with environmental laws tightening up most junkyards are closing their doors.

Just a quick note.  Flickr has made more changes to there website so it's getting harder to link some photo's in the smaller size.
I hope this size will not cause too much distortion to the thread.  Most will be the 1024 size.
