Color Identification
« on: January 02, 2014 - 10:14:24 PM »
Howdy! Well I'm about to buy a '72 Challenger with a 383 in it. So it's already not correct. So i'm not to worried about keeping it completely year correct. But I am curious to find a picture of a B7 Blue the Evening Blue color for Dodge. I have been searching and I was curious if this was that color and if not, what color would this one be?

Factory 1970 EB7 blue is not that dark.

I'm picking up this 70 Road Runner from my paint shop later today. It's about as fresh as you can get !

I'll have some better outdoor shots this afternoon.

Thanks for the Info on the B7 Blue. That helps me not want that color. So I'm still trying to figure out the blue in the picture of the 72 Challenger. But I'm also thinking about painting it Dodge Viper Blue. I like that Viper blue alot.

GB7 isn't even as dark as the picture you posted.

The picture of the 72 Challenger you posted is not a 1970-74 E Body colour. It could be a custom colour picked from a chart.

If you're not worried about originality, the sky's the limit....you can pick any blue you want :2thumbs:

I knew it wasnt an Ebody color but was hoping someone might go "oh thats...  $*%& " lol. I'm not to worried about Originality as it's originally a 318 car and it has a non rallye dash. And now it has a 383 in it, and I'm putting a rallye dash in it come hell or high water. So I'm still trying to decide but I'm thankful for the help! I'll probably be posting pictures tomorrow when I go down to get the car!
