    Yeah, the green looks different greens in different lights - I just looked up the J4, I wasn't familiar with that one - kind of looks like that too.
    I have tinkered around w/ the idea of original colors, but for now, I LUV the black look without all the gloss and shine - I'm not saying that it will stay like this, but I probably won't be in any hurry to change it either  :grinyes:
    I blacked out my rear bumper, mainly because it was pretty much pitted, and a lot of chrome was gone. I like the look of it, and am considering doing the same to my front bumper too, as it's not in the grandest of shape either.

    It is a cool car, would be great to have a colour to put against the green you have to find out hwat it really is, a lot of people do not go anywhere near these colour Greens when redoing their car, but in fact when either of these Greens is applied they really do look like a stand out in my opinion and would be worth considering when you do decide to go back to shiny paint. :clapping:
    But i am loving it the way it is, i too have a flat Black car and they are so easy to keep looking dirty :misbehaving: :bigsmile:

     The 73  cuda. Looks great as a 71  you have done a very nice job welcome to the forum .i think the best thing about having the car of your dreams is first just to own one and second is to do the car just the way you want it  . Looks fine to me mate cheers :aussie:  :2thumbs:

    Welcome to the site.  Your transformation into a '71 looks fantastic.  Did you replace the front fenders and rear quarters for the side marker lights to be '71 correct?

    If that is a flat black primer it will retain moisture over time an start to rust under it...........
    consider putting a clear coat over it..........

    I would go for the original color. to many going green.  What color is interior?

    Hi, sorry for the delay in replying, the interior is all black.  It is a flat black primer, it's PPG's omni line, epoxy primer - I do like the original green, but paint is going to be awhile down the road...

    the front fenders are original 71 barracuda fenders (no gills though) - as for the quarters, I haven't done them yet - but they are the next on my list now - i have the rear marker lights.
    I've been looking at quarter patch panels for the past couple of weeks, as i don't need a whole quarter, just the lower patch is basically all I need (there's a "tad" of bondo in each lower quarter), so I figured I'd knock that out and as a bonus, the lower patch's had the proper 70-71 marker light cutouts - the problem I'm running into now, is that every place I'm looking, seems to be out of the drivers side?? Found passenger sides all over, anyone know what gives on that, or am I missing something?  :dunno:

    Thanks everyone! I finally installed the headliner a couple of weeks ago, and man, did that make a huge difference - finally been able to drive it here & there and enjoy it!
