« on: January 12, 2014 - 01:38:21 PM »
What could I use for a cheap spare, looking for a donut, something light.
I dont want to put a heavy spare in the trunk.

I scored the aluminum spare and like new tire last summer at Pick A Part. Got it for $12. Brad I did not realize I will have trouble with this spare once my Viper Calipers are in. So will have to get longer studs installed.

The original poster says Lincoln town car is what works?  Mine is slightly different? I have no idea what it was off of? It was laying in a pile when I found it.  Crown Vic?  :dunno:  Used a spacer and it worked.

I cant find a lincoln TC rim cheap, everyone here thinks it's made of gold.
Can I use a mustang donut instead? I have 245/45/17 on the Challenger. The mustang donut spare 145/80/16 will be about the same height.
My question is with the offset, and will it work?
Thanks

I used a 03 04 Mustang Cobra space saver spare on mine. Lots of room for the rear disc calipers + I didnt have to open up the center hole to clear the rear axle register .
