Hello to the helpers and all fellow enthusiasts here
Keeping the promise in my first post (
http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=95511.msg952313#msg952313 "Looking for a Challenger") I want to introduce myself to the community. The car hasn't arrived yet, but it's been delivered to the harbor, where it's going on it's journey across the atlantic ocean in a few days. I expect it to be here within 4-5 weeks to have it ready for the season. Keep your fingers crossed - I hope, it arrives well preserved. So I figured, I will pull up the introduction a bit - as I will be busy, when it arrives...
Therefore introducing myself very detailed
I live in Switzerland, am married to the best wife and we have two children. Boys, currently almost 4 and 6. Since I was a child I had a big passion for old American cars. My dream was always to own a 1970 or maybe 71 Challenger 440 4-speed. But as live goes, priorities changed (education, get a job, get married, have children, etc.) and the budget kept the Challenger a dream... I have had many lower budget old American cars over the years and had a lot of fun with them.
Buying, restoring, enjoying and selling some of the cars I've had (as a hobby) has allowed me to save some money to get closer to my dream. But as I am a car nut, I've had difficulties to part with all of them, therefore I have kept the following - and I don't know, if I could sell them, if it's not necessary.
I hope, I am allowed to post these pictures (even they're not all from Challengers or Cudas). And please don't hate me for that!
"THE" American SPORTS CAR to me is the Corvette C3. This is my 1971 LS5 454
My favorite MUSCLE CARS are the Mopar B-Bodies. This is my 1968 Super Bee 383
And now, I am awaiting my all time favorite PONY CAR, the 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 440 4-speed. These pictures were taken today, when delivered to the harbor.
So keep your fingers crossed that it arrives well. I have already some parts ready for it and can't wait to get my hands on it to have it on the road in spring. And I am VERY EXCITED about getting closer to realize my childhood dream of once own such a masterpiece of automotive art.
I am sure I will bother you with lots of questions.
Thank you in advance and talk to you soon again!
