Wow!  Never seen a desk like that!  Way cool!  Would need the back half for a bed!

Those Snake cars are cool.  If I'm not mistaken that came out like 20 years ago or so, not easy to find although I have not gone on Ebay to look.  Not cheap though.

Would be cool of the light tree moved behind the car as it accelerated...

I looked at these a while back, based on the ones for sale they appear to be very fragile.  The soundtrack is actually a mini cassette tape which seems to break, and the motion mechanisms are prone to failure as well. Again, that opinion is based on the marjority of the ones for sale having one or more things wrong with them.  The only 'perfect' ones were those that had never been displayed.  Hotwheels also came out with the Snake & Mongoose Cuda & Duster cars in something like 1/18 scale which were VERY well done and worth picking up if you can find a pair at a decent price.  I personally stayed away from the motion version not wanting to pay $200+ for one to have it break on me.

Mine has been on display since I bought it new and it works fine.

A friend of mine picked up one of these in a local thrift store for $30. It works perfect. I was so damn jealous!

Bought one years back for a good price. Used it about 12 times and now it doesn't work. Still cool to look at! Wanted to buy the Snake car and transport at BJ, but was short a million (speaking of which-they should of separated the snake and Mongoose)

I've had mine since they first appeared on QVC in 1997, and it still works perfectly.
