I believe they do flow well but loose the scavenging of a long tube header , Rpm has a lot of effect as well , lower RPM can get by with manifolds but higher RPM needs more

Since were talking big block HP manifolds, do you feel the Hemi manifolds flow better ounce per ounce vs. the 440's?

The design they have appears that they would.

Perhaps why a reason the Hemi had the top end?

we have made some pretty good dyno #s with manifolds , but I always port them & as I said you loose the scavenging which is different from flow , the Hemi design is good too but again too short to get scavenging

they dont flow as well as headers, on stock engines about 10 hp difference, the more hp goes up , the bigger the difference! On my 383 a few years back, that motor peaked at 6700 rpms :scared: it made 496 hp with headers, we tried manifolds, and it was almost 50 hp difference. but this was at 5000 rpm on up.

I saw that as well and thought. . . No way!   Just doesn't seem possible.  Then he said that the manifolds sell for $500 +    :screwy:   I think I have a set!   lol
